Swenson Replaceable Tailgate (RTG) Series Spreaders

The Swenson RTG series of spreaders replace the dump body tailgate during deicing operations, designed to fit 15,000 + GVW trucks and provide a material spread of 4′ to 30′. A mounting kit with 1-1/4″ hinge pins allows the spreader to adapt to various makes of dump bodies.

RTG spreaders come in your choice of carbon steel or corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction. There are also options to choose the drop position between center and left drop.

Hydraulic drives on the auger and spinner allow for independent control. A stabilizer keeps the spinner parallel to the road at all dump angles. An agitator is incorporated into the trough to keep material flowing to the single 6″ auger. An anti-flow plate is installed over the material drop out to prevent material free flow while the auger is not turning.

A safety interlock system disables the auger and agitator during clean out and maintenance operations.
