Swenson S Series Under Tailgate Spreaders

Swenson S-Series spreaders are designed to mount below the dump body tailgate and not interfere with normal dump body operations when not in use. These provide a variety of spreading solutions when the dump body is higher than 44″ above the ground (otherwise, you might consider a Replaceable Tailgate Spreader). Separate hydraulic motors for the auger and the spinner allow for independent control of each function. An anti-flow plate is installed over the material drop out to prevent material free flow while the auger is not turning.

The bottom door is hinged to allow for easy clean out and blockage removal. An adjustable height spinner frame allows mounting on various height vehicles and a stabilizer keeps the spinner parallel to the road at all dump angles.

A safety interlock system disables the auger and agitator during clean out and maintenance operations.

S-Series spreaders have various options available. The construction can be either powder coated carbon steel or corrosion-resistant stainless steel. The auger can be 6″ or 9″ diameter. The drop location can also be customized between left, center, and right. And the drive system comes in Direct Drive (high performance, low maintenance), Gearbox Drive (better low-spread control, easier to mount spread rate sensor), and Electric Drive (allows independent control of auger and spinner, and uses existing electric system).
